Β This has been confirmed by the Uganda Prisons Service spokesperson Frank Baine. Β This comes just days after the first-ever mobile high court sitting in Ggaba convicted him of the horrific murder of four toddlers at a day care center. Β Okello becomes the 93rd prisoner on Uganda’s death row- two of them women.

The internationally recognized government of Sudan, led by General Abdel Fattah al-Burhan, has condemned Uganda for hosting Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo, head of the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF), calling the move “unacceptable.” Uganda’s President Museveni hosted Dagalo on Friday at State House Entebbe, where he said the RSF leader briefed him on the situation in Sudan.

Kenya’s High Commissioner to Uganda, Joash Maangi, has warned Kenyans against interfering in Uganda’s political affairs, stressing that such involvement could have serious consequences for their safety and diplomatic relations. His remarks come in the wake of the recent release of two Kenyan nationals, Mr Bob Njagi and Mr Nicholas Oyoo, who went missing for more than a month.
