It has elements of Misery (1990), Six Days, Seven Nights (1998), and Cast Away (2000) running through its veins, while also being injected with director Sam Raimi’s zany style. The things that really hold it together, even as it becomes increasingly uneven, are the performances by Rachel McAdams and Dylan O’Brien.
