The demand to extend applications to the edge has never been greater. From retail shops to industrial and manufacturing sites, there's a need to create, consume, and store data at the edge. Deploying applications at the edge comes with a set of physical constraints, but also with the need to deliver a truly cost-efficient and resilient architecture.

Welcome back to part two of this series. In the previous article, we defined edge and looked at use cases and constraints. Now let’s talk about Red Hat Edge platforms and how they can be used to address them. Platforms overview No one solution fits all needs. Red Hat offers a wide range of platforms to address different requirements and constraints. We distinguish between two main categories: Red Hat Device Edge and Red Hat OpenShift.

Steinpilze auf geröstetem Roggenbrot mit pochiertem Ei Für 4 Personen 4 Scheiben Roggenbrot Butter 400 g Steinpilze neutrales Olivenöl zum Braten 4 Eier schwarzer Pfeffer 4 Stängel Estragon 100 g Parmigiano Reggiano Das Roggenbrot mit Butter in der Pfanne rösten. Die Steinpilze in 2 cm große Würfel schneiden und in etwas Öl in der Pfanne braten. Frischhaltefolie in ca. 20 cm große Quadrate schneiden. Mit Öl einreiben und über eine Tasse legen. Jeweils ein Ei vorsichtig hineinschlagen.
