Looks like we’re back in the Xbox doom cycle. We don’t know how bad the layoffs are gonna be and which studios are getting closed, but we know they’re coming. Right after Microsoft showed us a pretty good reel of upcoming games we’re back to wondering if their game business will even survive the next 24-to-36 months. Sony’s going through some of the same problems, but not every big game company is. Why? As much as I liked South of Midnight, Compulsion Games getting closed doesn’t surprise me.
