In clinical practice, patients may have well-controlled endoscopic findings and laboratory markers but continue to experience chronic fatigue, abdominal pain, anxiety, and severe sleep disturbances. A conceptual framework published in eClinicalMedicine proposed applying the treatable traits model to IBD to address this gap.
