The pattern change we’ve been talking about for several days has now occurred, and we’ve entered the “summer doldrums”. Upper high pressure isn’t centered over the Ozarks, but close enough that it will control our weather through this week and likely beyond it. A typical summer pattern has formed, and will keep us dry most or all of the week.

Happy Wednesday! An upper wave in southern Kansas this morning will move through the Ozarks this afternoon and should trigger widely scattered storms, with a lot of clouds and a little bit of sunshine elsewhere. A small upper wave will kick up widely scattered storms. Another round of storms is expected across Wyoming and Colorado late today, and the associated upper wave will traverse the plains and move into the Ozarks tomorrow evening.

TGIF! Rain has cleared out of the Ozarks and expect partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Humidity stays in a comfortable range today, with afternoon highs in the lower to middle 80s. Highs today Skies stay mostly cloudy to partly cloudy into early Saturday morning. Low temperatures will fall into the upper 60s. Saturday looks partly cloudy to mostly sunny. A warm front lifting north during the afternoon will bring dew points back into the 70s, so it will feel noticeably more humid.
