The Grant County Family Resource and Youth Services Centers (FRYSCs) are preparing for their annual Braves Bash on Saturday, Aug. 8, from 10 a.m. to noon, and are inviting local businesses, civic organizations, churches and community members to help make this year's event a success. Braves Bash provides school supplies and encouragement to local students as they prepare for a new school year.

The Northern Kentucky Education Council Excellence in Education Awards were handed out at a dinner Tuesday, April 21. The awards recognize education excellence throughout our region. The award ceremony is more than a celebration – it is a reflection of the remarkable work happening every single day in our schools. It is a testament to passion, perseverance, and the unwavering belief that every student deserves the opportunity to succeed.

Grant County Schools Superintendent Todd Moody believes public education is on the edge of major change. With more families choosing homeschooling and charter school debates growing across the country, he says public schools must adapt—and quickly. According to Moody, part of the solution may be found in “local accountability.” When Kentucky Education Commissioner Robbie Fletcher visited Grant County Schools in August, he shared the state’s support for this idea.
