Danielle James’s Biography
Danielle (Dani) James currently works as a reporter at MLive, covering federal policy and its impact on Michigan, higher/K-12 education and government.
Prior to this role, she spent nearly three years as the state House correspondent for MIRS News in Lansing, with several more years as a Michigan-based freelance journalist published in The Detroit News and Bridge Michigan, among others.
Dani graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in journalism. Her degree focus was international reporting, and she minored in media photography. During her time there, Dani had academic research published on the changing state of journalism.
A passionate supporter of the arts, Dani is also a lover of the Oxford comma.
