The One Book One Community initiative brings students, families, and the community together in a celebration of brilliant books and the power of reading. Local schools, including Glasheen Boys ND and Glasheen Girls NS, were among the 12 that launched the initiative this year at an event in Presentation Secondary School Ballyphehane on Thursday, March 27.

The VEX Robotics competition sees school students design, build, improve, and code a robot to compete in a competition among primary schools from all around Ireland, with more than 2,000 students involved from across the country.
