David C. Adams is a freelance reporter and editor based in Miami.

British born and trilingual, Adams was previously a senior editor at Univision News and Reuters Editor in Charge for the Southeast US and Caribbean. Before that he spent 15 years as the Miami-based Latin America correspondent of the St Petersburg Times, Florida’s largest newspaper, now renamed the Tampa Bay Times.

He has covered many historic events in the region, including numerous reporting trips to Mexico, Cuba, Haiti, Colomb…

The Maria Moors Cabot Prizes are the oldest international awards in journalism and were founded in 1938, when Godfrey Lowell Cabot of Boston founded the Maria Moors Cabot Prizes as a memorial to his wife. The prizes recognize journalists and news organizations with a distinguished body of work that has contributed to Inter­-American understanding.
