Forum Magazine: Building a Data-Driven Practice in 5 Steps
The practice of law, like many other fields, is characterized by an overwhelming volume of data and by the speed at which that data is accumulating. The data is fragmented and complex – coming from traditional public sources such as courts and regulators as well as legal organizations’ own processes: timekeeping, billing, matter management and the like. Leveraging all that data is a muscle that’s rarely fully developed in the legal industry.

5 Steps to a Data-Driven Legal Practice
Lawyers, like other professionals, work with a staggering amount of data. Much of that data, however, is not currently exploited to help support legal professionals’ legal decisions, client advice, or business strategies such as pricing. Other industries — particularly those with consumer-facing offerings — have long leveraged large data sets to enhance decision-making. Predictions based on data are built into many familiar offerings such as traffic apps, e-commerce, and medicine.

It Is Probably Not A Good Idea To Exercise Your Free Speech Rights To Publicly Shame Another Business
As another Fourth of July comes and goes, when we were not barbecuing with friends and family, watching hot dog-eating contests, and seeing fireworks at night, we might have spent the small pockets of time thinking about the fundamental rights this country was founded on. It’s Almost Payday And We’re STILL Getting Firm Raises
The new market standard salary may have taken effect — most places anyway — on July 1, but the real deadline was always July 13.
