“These prices are ridiculous. It’s hot out, so you need to lower them. You must stop profiteering off the heat wave.” President Trump increasingly runs a communist country as he now regularly socializes major corporations as a condition for granting them the privilege of expanding or making deals. That’s something that has not been a part of America until Trump, except in the case of major corporate bailouts, and it shouldn’t even have happened then.

I want to start off by talking once again about an economist who hallucinates more than AI. Her logic board seems to have fried because every point she makes counters her own argument. I came across an article on Oilprice.com that claimed the oil supply crunch from the Iran war could take crude prices down to $40/bbl! It’s been two decades since we saw prices that low, and we have certainly never seen such low prices due to an oil shortage.

MOU: The Meltdown of Understanding

Since covering the meltdown of the latest ceasefire agreement by Trump in my weekend Deeper Dive, several more stories are burning up the press that demonstrate the deterioration of agreement—if there ever was any actual agreement—on anything the MoU says. I threw three of those articles into the Deeper Dive at the last minute on Sunday morning as I hurriedly proofed that article in order to get it published before even more stories emerged.
