Iowa weather: Sunday showers

Showers and a few rumbles of thunder move into southern Iowa early Sunday morning with the heaviest rainfall falling near and south of Highway 34. Occasional showers and a few downpours will continue through the morning hours south of I-80, with 1 to 2 inches of rainfall possible. North of I-80, lighter showers are expected to develop through the morning hours and then taper off during the afternoon.
