Sam Saadeh boarded a United flight bound for Newark from Atlanta on June 4 while wearing a T-shirt that read, “Bombing kids is not self defense.” The shirt references Israeli strikes that have killed Palestinian children in Gaza.

(AP) - Thousands of visitors were told to evacuate a remote Minnesota wilderness area accessible only by boat as wildfires send dangerously heavy smoke over the U.S. Midwest and Northeast this week. More than 100 wildfires are burning in Canada, where a train crew in northern Ontario filmed themselves surrounded by flames before being safely evacuated. Winds are carrying the smoke southeast. Warnings about unhealthy air conditions Wednesday extended from Minnesota through Toronto and into New York.

7-year-old injured after metro crash with bike, car
DOUGLAS COUNTY, Neb. (WOWT) - A 7-year-old was taken to the hospital after a metro crash between their bike and a car Wednesday evening. According to a social media post from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. near 165th Street and Cleveland Boulevard. Bennington Fire and Rescue took the child to the hospital, the post reads. There is no further word on how serious their injuries are. The crash remains under investigation.
