Thus, its tone is the perfect segway for these viewers to jump into the comic books.

The Best Daredevil Comics of All Time
As always, this year’s San Diego Comic Con was full of announcements from Marvel and DC about upcoming projects, but the ones that brought the most joy to my heart all involved the triumphant (re)return of Charlie Cox’s Daredevil to the MCU. Not only will Cox and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin be returning for 2024’s Daredevil: Born Again, but the Man Without Fear will also be appearing in this month’s She-Hulk and next year’s animated Spider-Man: Freshman Year.

Year One: Miller, Frank, Mazzucchelli, David: Amazon.com.mx: Libros
Batman: Year One feels, to me, a lot like an old film-noir crime movie from the 50s, as does most of Frank Miller’s work (his Daredevil run, for example). It’s dark, gritty, contains copious amounts of monologue and centres around a detective (or two, in this case, as the story prominently featured Jim Gordon, everyone’s faviroute non-corrupt GCPD lieutenant, and Batman, the world’s Greatest Detective).
The 10 greatest Batman comics of all time
Batman is among the most famous superhero in the world, and with over 80 years of history behind him, he’s been whatever we needed him to be when we needed it: an unstoppable dark avenger, an indefatigable-but-noble protector, a smiling crimefighter with onomatopoetic fists. Over eight decades, writers have refined his story to a pure iron pinpoint, his emblems whittled to iconic simplicity, and his backlog perpetually growing with every passing issue. Catching up is an impossible task.
The New York Times
A little after 11 p.m. on March 6, 2015, Eddie Ashley and Joseph Fernandez, both 21, entered the bar 1849 on Bleecker Street. The bartender took the bill... ...but before she could do anything, the men were gone. A few minutes later, at Carrol Place, a 36-year-old off-duty bartender was at the bar as one of the same two men ordered a Red Bull. He watched the bartender slide the 20 into the cash register near a light.
The Ted Stearn Interview
I’ve known Ted Stearn for about thirty-five years. He was studying at the Rhode Island School of Design when my future wife Richmond Lewis and I were also there, and we all became good friends in the years thereafter. I was so intrigued with the paintings, drawings, and sculptures he made over the years—particularly a series of “automatic drawings” that were devised from random mark-making—that I suggested he make a comic for Rubber Blanket, the magazine I was publishing in the early 1990s.
Powell’s Q&A: Chip Kidd
Describe your latest book. Judge This is a book that evolved out of discussions with the TED Books team, chiefly my editor Michelle Quint. It is a meditation on first impressions in design and life, and when design should be clear and when it should be mysterious. And then what can happen when the two get mixed up. All using visual examples of things I encounter in my daily life and how I apply them to my work. Confused yet?
Words and Pictures: Daredevil, Then and Now
Any period of superhero comic addiction, such as I briefly enjoyed in my youth, leaves you with one or two favourite characters. It’s kind of the point: these characters are immortal, corporately-owned properties, their value to their owners largely measured by the persistence and financial implications of the attachment they instil in readers. For me, there were plenty of favoured characters back in the day, but there was only one true favourite: Daredevil.
