Colton Buzzard’s team was able to snap a two-year playoff drought last season with a third place finish in district play. That success opened the door to some belief. Cisco starts 2026 with a lot of juniors and sky high expectations

CISCO, Texas (BCH Sports) – The Cisco Loboes are expected to have an outstanding season in 2026. The Loboes are ranked fourth in Class 2A Division I in the preseason by Dave Campbell’s Texas Football. For that to come true, head coach Kevin Stennett needs his junior class to answer the call. That shouldn’t be a problem because most of them had to stepped up as sophomores. Those guys and the senior class are ready to take on the challenge.

Quarterback Kanon Gibson leaves ACU football program

ABILENE, Texas (BCH Sports) – The ACU Wildcats started Fall camp with five quarterbacks fighting to become the starting quarterback. It’s down to four after a week and a half. Kanon Gibson decided to leave the program this week. Gibson transferred to Abilene Christian this summer after an outstanding 2025. He threw for almost 4,000 yards and led the Falcons to the quarterfinals.
