CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Good morning. It’s a steamy start to the work day. We have issued a First Alert for Thursday, and Friday. Temperatures are expected to warm into the mid to upper 90s, with real feel conditions between 100-105. As heat and humidity builds, isolated showers and storms will be possible late this afternoon into this evening. An approaching cold front will deliver a better chance for wide spread showers and storms Friday.

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Good morning. We have issued a First Alert Weather day. A strong cold front is heading east. A few showers and isolated storms will be possible this morning. A stronger line of rain and storms will develop this afternoon into this evening. Any storm will potentially cause gusty wind, large hail, heavy downpours, and an embedded tornado. As the cold front exits, cold air will change any residual moisture into rain and snow showers tonight.

A few showers may develop this afternoon. There will be a better chance for showers and a storm tonight into Thursday morning. As the cold front gets closer, and advances through the region, wind speeds will increase, and any storm could produce a heavy downpour, and small hail.
