I have been looking for a car to buy for a while. I would like it to be cheap, reliable and able to sleep in the back of it occasionally. Also to let friends use it and not worry about little dents and also being ULEZ compliant and economical is important.

Do I need to have my Toyota serviced at a main dealer to keep my warranty? For 19 years I had a Toyota Yaris (52 reg) which was extremely reliable and was serviced by a local garage. In October 2024 I bought a 72 reg Toyota Yaris Hybrid from a Toyota dealer. I was told that to maintain the warranty I have to have it serviced by a Toyota dealer each year. They have quoted £450 for a 30,000 service and MOT in August. I have actually done about 26,000 and only drive about 5,000 per year.
