James Island’s Connor Dantzler and Ashley Ridge’s Grace Marsaa have been chosen as the 2025-26 male and female All-Lowcountry athletes of the year by The Post and Courier. The two senior athletes were among the best performers in the state this past year. Dantzler was a two-sport star for James Island, excelling on the gridiron and the diamond in the last year. Dantzler guided the football team to a 12-2 record by passing for 3,495 yards and 42 touchdowns.

Oceanside Collegiate's Bocelli the All-Lowcountry Player of the Year for boys golf

On their way to winning the Class AAA state title, the Oceanside Collegiate boys golf team put three of their five golfers in the top 10. Leading the way was Blake Bocelli, who ended up winning medalist honors in the event and is The Post and Courier's All-Lowcountry Player of the Year in boys golf. Bocelli finished the 36-hole event at 2-under par, posting a score of 139. Canon Moriarty was the state runner-up and Reed Cook was seventh overall for the Landsharks.

OCA’s Skillman takes All-Lowcountry boys tennis honor

As Oceanside Collegiate Academy continued its dominant run with a sixth consecutive state championship in boys tennis, it is only fitting to honor one of their top performers as The Post and Courier All-Lowcountry Boys Tennis Player of the Year for 2026. Senior Luke Skillman played the No.1 singles position for the Landsharks and lost just once all season. He capped his season by winning the Class AAA individual singles title, edging teammate Jackson Nichols in the final.
