Very Late-time JWST and Keck Spectra of the Oxygen-rich Supernova 1995N
Acknowledgement We thank the anonymous referee for suggestions that have improved the paper. This work is based (in part) on observations made with the NASA/ESA/CSA James Webb Space Telescope. The data were obtained from the Mikulski Archive for Space Telescopes at the Space Telescope Science Institute, which is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc., under NASA contract NAS 5-03127 for JWST. The observations are associated with program GO-1860.
The resolved lifecycle of metals and dust in nearby galaxies

A focus on adolescent sexual health in Europe, central Asia and Canada: Health Behaviour in School-aged Children international report from the 2021/2022 survey
Abstract The Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) study is a large school-based survey carried out every four years in collaboration with the WHO Regional Office for Europe. HBSC data are used at national/regional and international levels to gain new insights into adolescent health and well-being, understand the social determinants of health and inform policy and practice to improve young people’s lives.
Accurate simultaneous constraints on the dust mass, temperature, and emissivity index of a galaxy at redshift 7.31
A thorough understanding of both the formation and properties of cosmic dust at high redshift is crucial for our understanding of the evolution of galaxies as a whole. The presence of dust can be indirectly inferred by observing the attenuated rest-frame UV and optical emission of galaxies, or directly through observing its signature infrared emission (e.g. Galliano, Galametz & Jones 2018).
The recent star formation histories of nearby galaxies on resolved scales
Star formation (SF) changes in galaxies can occur on both global and local physical scales over a variety of time periods. Global and long-term changes are responsible for the blue and red sequences of galaxies illustrated by the bimodal distribution of galaxies in the colour–magnitude diagram or the star-forming main sequence (SFMS) (e.g. Noeske et al. 2007; Wuyts et al. 2011; van der Wel et al. 2014).
Serendipitous detection of the dusty Type IIL SN 1980K with JWST/MIRI
We present mid-infrared (mid-IR) imaging of the Type IIL supernova (SN) 1980K with the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST) more than 40 yr post-explosion. SN 1980K, located in the nearby (D ≈ 7 Mpc) ‘SN factory’ galaxy NGC 6946, was serendipitously captured in JWST/MIRI images taken of the field of SN 2004et in the same galaxy.
From total destruction to complete survival: dust processing at different evolutionary stages in the supernova remnant Cassiopeia A
The formation of dust in the ejecta of core-collapse supernovae has been detected in the last three decades by different methods, such as the steepening of the optical brightness decay due to increased dust extinction (e.g. Lucy et al. 1989), an infrared excess due to thermal dust emission (e.g. Wooden et al. 1993; Wesson et al. 2015), and a red-blue-asymmetry of emission lines due to higher dust absorption from the far side of the expanding ejecta (e.g. Lucy et al. 1989; Bevan & Barlow 2016).
Metal and dust evolution in ALMA REBELS galaxies: insights for future JWST observations
ALMA observations revealed the presence of significant amounts of dust in the first Gyr of Cosmic time. However, the metal and dust buildup picture remains very uncertain due to the lack of constraints on metallicity. JWST has started to reveal the metal content of high-redshift targets, which may lead to firmer constraints on high-redshift dusty galaxies evolution.
Relationship between hippocampal subfield volumes and cognitive decline in healthy subjects
Introduction With an increase in the ageing world population, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of cognitive impairment is of significant public interest. Hippocampal degeneration is strongly associated with Alzheimer’s type dementia (AD), the most prevalent form of dementia, affecting 60–80% of cases (Braak and Braak, 1991; Hebert et al., 2003; Apostolova et al., 2006; Scott and Barrett, 2007; Pluta et al., 2012; La Joie et al., 2013; Kälin et al., 2017).
Assessing cognitive function in longitudinal studies of ageing worldwide: some practical considerations
Abstract Over 55 million people live with dementia worldwide. With 40% of modifiable risk factors estimated to contribute to dementia, the potential for prevention is high, and preventive measures, at an early stage of cognitive decline, are likely to positively influence future dementia trends. Countries need reliable health data and adequate measurement tools to quantify, monitor and track early changes in cognitive capacity in the general population.
The association between kidney function, cognitive function, and structural brain abnormalities in community-dwelling individuals aged 50+ is mediated by age and biomarkers of cardiovascular disease (pdf) | Paperity
Cardiovascular Research, Sep 2023 Cognitive impairment has been associated with kidney function and chronic kidney disease. Whether this association is due to accelerated cardiovascular disease (CVD) or an independent specific kidney function effect related to toxins is unclear. We investigated the impact of an array of clinical factors, inflammatory biomarkers, and cardiovascular biomarkers on the association between kidney function, cognitive function, and structural brain abnormalities.
Evidence for late-time dust formation in the ejecta of supernova SN 1995N from emission-line asymmetries
We present a study of the dust associated with the core-collapse supernova SN 1995N. Infrared emission detected 14–15 yr after the explosion was previously attributed to thermally echoing circumstellar material (CSM) associated with the supernova (SN) progenitor. We argue that this late-time emission is unlikely to be an echo, and is more plausibly explained by newly formed dust in the SN ejecta, indirectly heated by the interaction between the ejecta and the CSM.
The effect of human autonomy and robot work pace on perceived workload in human-robot collaborative assembly work
1 Introduction The fourth industrial revolution, conceptualized in Industry 4.0, has led to the introduction of various new technologies that digitize, connect, and automate procedures. Despite this ever-increasing level of automation, human involvement is still crucial due totheir adaptability, dexterity, and cognitive abilities. To make optimal use of the strengths of humans within a highly automated environment new solutions are needed.

Efficacy of the Herpes Zoster Subunit Vaccine in Adults 70 Years of Age or Older
Herpes zoster and its complications, especially postherpetic neuralgia, are associated with substantial morbidity among older adults. In this phase 3 trial, two doses of HZ/su administered 2 months apart had a vaccine efficacy of 89.8%, as compared with placebo, in reducing the risk of herpes zoster among adults 70 years of age or older. A similar vaccine efficacy in reducing the risk of postherpetic neuralgia was shown in the pooled analysis.
