The 94 year-old movie theatre located on Palmer Avenue has been closed for a decade now, languishing under the ownership of a bankrupt NYC development firm. It was purchased in 2017 by Cohen Brothers Realty, which had big plans to transform the theater into a four screen arthouse cinema.
