Decarbonizing Transportation

Welcome to Decarbonizing Transportation. Every two weeks (or so) we go deep on one topic and present a roundup of the latest decarbonization news at the bottom of the email. I can’t imagine a better guest for this newsletter than Dan Sperling. He’s been working on transport and climate change since the 1980s. He’s the founding director of  the Institute of Transportation Studies at UC Davis, the leading research center for transportation and the environment in the United States.

Welcome to Decarbonizing Transportation by Andrew Salzberg. Every two weeks (or so) I go deep on one topic and present a roundup of the latest decarbonization news at the bottom of the email. One of the things I do when I’m not writing this newsletter is work with Transit to try and build a more open, interoperable, and transparent version of digital mobility. If that sounds interesting, join us tomorrow for the launch of a new report.

TONIGHT! If you’re a US citizen, join a fundraiser featuring an awesome lineup of speakers discussing decarbonization. Register here (make sure to scroll down). Consider making a donation even if you can’t make it, since every $ raised supports the campaign and lets them know you care about this issue. How Fast Could We Go Electric If We Really Wanted To?
