Marana police search for 2 suspects in Walmart assault on Cortaro Road

MARANA, Ariz. (KGUN) — Marana Police are looking for two suspects who they say assaulted a person at the Walmart on Cortaro Road on Sunday. Authorities say the two suspects left the scene. As of now, they've not been found. The victim was taken to the hospital. Police say their injuries are not considered life-threatening. If you have any information, you are asked to call police or 88-CRIME, where you can remain anonymous.

Suspicious death investigation underway in Vail after woman found dead in home

VAIL, Ariz. (KGUN) — A suspicious death investigation is underway in the Vail area after deputies found a woman dead inside a home Friday afternoon. Pima County Sheriff's Department Vail District deputies responded to a residence in the 13600 block of Hampden Green Way shortly before 5 p.m. on July 24, 2026, at the request of the Rincon Valley Fire District. Deputies located a deceased woman inside the residence. Investigators identified the woman as 65-year-old Cindy Kreider.

Mobile home fire on Tucson's Southside injures 1 person and leaves 8 people displaced

TUCSON, Ariz. (KGUN 9) — A mobile home fire on the Southside of Tucson injured one person and displaced eight others on Friday, July 24, according to Tucson Fire. The fire occurred in the 100 block of East Ginter Road. Tucson Fire officials say crews encountered a leaking propane tank and several exploding tires upon arrival. 14 Tucson Fire units responded to the scene. Crews were able to prevent the fire from spreading to a neighboring home. One person was injured and treated on scene.
