Born and raised in New York, Derek Faraci moved to Los Angeles in 2001 where he worked as a freelance writer before starting at Activision. While at Activision, Derek worked on many successful franchises including Spider-Man, Tony Hawk and Guitar Hero. In October 2009, Derek left Activision and, having never been to Michigan, moved to Farmington Hills to work with Scientifically Proven Entertainment on Man vs. Wild: The Game, Blood of the Werewolf, and the film Sucker directed by Michael Manasseri.
Derek has written for a number of publications, including Blumhouse, Birth.Movies.Death, Crooked Marquee and CBR. These days, he works as the Training Lead for Screen Rant, helping prepare the next generation of writers to start their careers.
