Arthur brought heavy rain to Southeast Louisiana Thursday, and with more rain on the way Friday, many are keeping a close watch on the river levels. Two Northshore rivers are expected to crest Friday at or near flood stage. In Covington, the Tchefuncte River is at 25 feet and is expected to crest at moderate flood stage. In Folsom, the river is at 17.3 feet and will crest at 18 feet Friday. The Tangipahoa River near Robert is at 18 feet and is cresting at moderate flood stage.
