PUEBLO — On Friday, January 8, the Bureau of Reclamation announced that the Arkansas Valley Conduit (AVC) Project will be receiving an additional $250 million in funding. The funding will come from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. U.S. Senators John Hickenlooper and Michael Bennet have been advocates for both the bill and for more funding for the AVC.

(CAÑON CITY, Colo.) — The 14th Annual Royal Gorge Whitewater Festival (RGWF) kicked off on Friday welcoming all ages for a weekend of fun right on the Arkansas River. The festival started back in 2009 and over the years has grown with new activities for all to enjoy.

(TRINIDAD, Colo.) — At a special event on Veterans Day, over 300 veterans were honored with a luncheon and demonstration in Trinidad, as part of a yearly gesture of gratitude from the community. 2022 marks the 21st year that Trinidad has hosted the Veterans Day luncheon. More than six schools and clubs from the Las Animas County area pitched in, with students volunteering to serve a meal to the more than 300 veterans who attended.
