Pueblo City Council passes resolution, requires stores to pay for abandoned shopping carts
PUEBLO, Colo. (KOAA) — Pueblo City Council members voted to pass a resolution requiring local retailers to pay for abandoned shopping carts. Under the new resolution, businesses would pay a $35 dollar fee for each cart found off their property. They would also pay $2 a day for storage. The city says the base fees could add up to $95 per cart, and retailers could also face a $50 surcharge for repeat offenses. Stores can avoid the fees this year if they install a cart management system.

Alabama’s attorney general on Monday subpoenaed OpenAI for more information related to its AI agents autonomously hacking into another company’s servers in July.
