How is social media changing news?

it's pushed the "getting it first" over the "getting it right". It's a great tool, not a shortcut to doing your due diligence.

What does it mean to be a journalist?

It means seeking truth daily, asking questions, digging, being curious & having compassion for the human condition of those around you.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer not to be pitched on stories. If I'm doing my job effectively, I'm pitching enterprise stories that matter to viewers & readers.

What's your favorite social network?

Twitter. I get the most relevant response & interaction there.

Why did you become a journalist?

I'm a naturally curious person and I loved the idea of doing something different everyday and not knowing exactly what a new day will bring.
