-- Scabies or scabies in humans is usually marked by the appearance of very itchy red spots on the skin. The main cause of this disease is caused by scabies mites or fleas sarcoptes scabiei, a type of small insect that cannot be seen with the naked eye, but can breed in the layers of human skin. The scabies mite will dig and tunnel into human skin with the aim of nesting and leaving their eggs in the skin layer.
