Tina Powell, partner and chief of community at Intention.ly, a growth consultancy and marketing agency for financial advisors, passed away Thursday night after a long battle with cancer. LPL Financial Faces Lawsuit Over Phoenix Annuity Sales Original

A client of LPL Financial has filed a lawsuit against the broker/dealer, claiming his advisor sold him a variable annuity from The Phoenix Companies, despite knowing that the insurance company was in financial trouble. The PHL Variable Insurance Co. was pushed into liquidation in 2024, leaving 100,000 policyholders facing a $2.2 billion shortfall, according to published reports.

Pathstone Merges with $12B Mill Creek Capital Advisors Original

Pathstone, a private equity-backed multifamily office based in Englewood, N.J., has merged with Mill Creek Capital Advisors, a Philadelphia-area registered investment advisor with about $12 billion in assets under advisement.
