Hello! I’m Diane Mapes, a longtime Seattle writer. I grew up on a strawberry farm in rural northwest Washington and studied journalism at WWU and creative writing at the UW, although I probably didn’t study either hard enough.

Over the years, I’ve published short stories, humor columns, travel essays, 1,000+ news stories, a funny dating manual, half a 50 Shades parody about zombies and much more. I’ve even won some writing awards!
