Christopher Ayscue and Holly Scott Ayscue, owners of Holly Christina Photography, appeared in court on a criminal charge of obtaining property by false pretense.

An old scam targeting people looking for easy ways to make money is making a comeback, and it could leave victims owing thousands of dollars to their banks. An ABC11 viewer recently shared a letter she received with Troubleshooter Diane Wilson. The offer was for a secret shopping job. She recognized the offer as suspicious but worried someone else might fall for it. The letter arrived by mail with a check for $1,977.50 and a customer service evaluation form.

ABC11 Troubleshooter helps Raleigh man get $4,200 StubHub charge reversed

RALEIGH, N.C. (WTVD) -- A Raleigh man says he was hit with more than $4,000 in charges after trying to sell concert tickets on StubHub, only to discover the tickets could not be transferred because of artist-imposed resale restrictions. Mark Thomann had four tickets to see Noah Kahan and two tickets for Tame Impala. When scheduling conflicts arose, he decided to sell the tickets through StubHub. "We realized we had some conflicts and couldn't attend," Thomann said.
