This podcast is a voyage into the vast cosmos of the entertainment sector and behind the scenes of both big-stakes decisions and low-key storytelling. From revisiting the familiar to marveling at technical wizardry, we seek to examine how the media creates our culture — and culture impacts the screen. On the first episode, we are excited to interview Dylan Teboe, a content creator based in Miami who inhabits the border between traditional film and contemporary multimedia.

Last week, Florida International University’s “Survivor” live event was hosted at the Success Center, , where they recreated a live finale similar to the one featured on the CBS show. The energy was felt throughout the event. There were memorials from past and present seasons with interactive games and numerous Easter eggs for dedicated fans of the show. It didn’t end there. They also added a red carpet where students could take photos as if they were at the Oscars.

¿De dónde es realmente la arepa? Una pregunta que, cuidado… puede terminar en discusión internacional. Pero dos grupos estudiantiles de FIU, Colombian Studies y otro de Venezuela, Venssa, decidieron resolver la pregunta con un partido amistoso. Fue un partido bastante intenso entre ambas organizaciones, donde el resultado final favoreció a Venssa, que ganó 4-3.
