Mechanically Driven Redox Catalysis: From Metal-Catalyzed Coupling to Piezoelectric and Cooperative Systems
1 Introduction Mechanochemistry, which enables chemical transformations through direct mechanical energy input, has emerged as a prominent sustainable alternative to conventional solution-based synthesis [1-5].Compared with traditional solution-phase reactions, ball milling and related mechanochemical techniques operate under solvent-free or solvent-minimized conditions while generating highly concentrated reaction environments, thereby offering distinct advantages in reaction efficiency,...
Automated risk scoring for venous thromboembolism using large language models with expert knowledge-augmented prompting: a multicenter validation study
|
Abstract Venous thromboembolism (VTE) is a common but preventable complication in hospitalized patients, yet standardized risk scoring using unstructured electronic health records (EHRs) remains challenging. We retrospectively analyzed anonymized EHRs from a nationwide multicenter cohort across 30 hospitals. Using stratified random sampling, 50 cases from 10 hospitals were used for development and 200 cases from the remaining 20 hospitals for testing.

Emerging drivers of IPM technology adoption among farmers: the role of participation in new agricultural operating entities
BACKGROUND Integrated pest management (IPM) is a holistic strategy reducing pest-related economic, health, and environmental impacts. However, in China's smallholder-dominated agricultural systems, farmers exhibit limited willingness and capacity to adopt IPM. The emergence of new agricultural operating entities (NAOEs) offers a potential pathway to address this challenge.

Particle Trajectory Simulation Facilitates the Development of an Efficient Sample Introduction System for Single-Particle ICP-MS Analysis
Introduction Click to copy section linkSection link copied! Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) has expanded its application for single-event (e.g., single-cell and single-particle) analysis with the advantages of high sensitivity, a wide linear dynamic range, and multielement detection in recent years. (1) Taking single-particle analysis as an example, a time-resolved analysis (TRA) mode is established to record signals from individual particles as pulse signals.

Photoelectrochemical Nickel-Catalyzed Carboacylation/ Silanoylation of Alkenes with Unactivated C/Si-H Bonds
Photoelectrochemical Nickel-Catalyzed Carboacylation/ Silanoylation of Alkenes with Unactivated C/Si–H Bonds Direct and selective installation of two different functional groups into the unsaturated bonds of alkenes constitutes a long-standing goal in organic synthesis. Herein, we first report a photoelectrochemical approach to the carboacylation/ silanoylation of alkenes with unactivated alkanes/hydrosilanes via the LMCT process.

Ultrasound Imaging of Tumor Vascular CD93 with MMRN2 Modified Microbubbles for Immune Microenvironment Prediction
Vascular microenvironment is found to be closely related to immunotherapy efficacy. Identification and ultrasound imaging of the unique vascular characteristics able to predict immune microenvironment are important for immunotherapy decision-making. Herein, it is proved that high CD93 expression in the tumor vessels is closely related to the poor immune response of prostate cancer.

Advancements and Obstacles of PARP Inhibitors in Gastric Cancer
1. Introduction Gastric cancer (GC) is a prevalent malignancy globally, with over one million new cases reported in 2020 and a staggering 768,793 deaths, ranking fifth in incidence and fourth in mortality worldwide [1,2,3]. Surgical resection currently serves as the primary treatment for GC [4]. However, early-stage GC often lacks symptoms, leading to low rates of diagnosis and a higher proportion of patients being detected at an advanced stage [5].
Spectral Clustering Approach with K-Nearest Neighbor and Weighted Mahalanobis Distance for Data Mining

Electrochemical Rearrangement for Remote Functionalizations of Unactivated Alkenes
Graphical Abstract Electrochemical difunctionalization of unactivated alkenes were realized utilizing commercially available organofluorine reagents through scission of C−H/C−Br bonds via 1,2-, and 1,4-migration process, leading to di and mono-fluoroalkyl functionalized ketone compounds with good functional group tolerance. This transformation tolerates a diverse set of migrating groups, involving (hetero)arenes, olefins, and alkynes.

Three-Component Carboacylation of Alkenes via Cooperative Nickelaphotoredox Catalysis Abstract Various commercially available acyl chlorides, aldehydes, and alkanes were exploited for versatile three-component 1,2-carboacylations of alkenes to forge two vicinal C–C bonds through the cooperative action of nickel and sodium decatungstate catalysis.
3D Printing-Induced Fine Particle and Volatile Organic Compound Emission: An Emerging Health Risk
3D printing, a technology that allows the layer-by-layer construction of complex 3D structures from a range of precursor materials, has shown promising applicability in construction and in the automotive, aerospace, defense, biomedicine, and consumer electronics industries. A key concern, however, is the health effects and safety problems due to its emission of fine particles (PM2.5, particles with aerodynamic diameters of <2.5 μm) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Bottom‐up Construction of π‐Extended Arenes by a Palladium‐Catalyzed Annulative Dimerization of o‐Iodobiaryl Compounds
A straightforward method was developed for construction of aromatic compounds with a triphenylene core. The method involves Pd‐catalyzed annulative dimerization of o‐iodobiaryl compounds by double C−I and C−H bond cleavage steps. Simple reaction conditions are needed, requiring neither a ligand nor an oxidant, and the reaction tolerates a wide range of coupling partners without compromising efficiency or scalability.
