4. Discussion The current short-term longitudinal study describes the correlation between gut microbiome composition and blood lipid patterns in healthy adults. The investigation using a data pool comprising gut microbiome taxonomic profiles and lipid measurements collected from 23 participants confirmed that features of the human gut microbiome vary with subject-specific lipid profiles.
