In the aftermath of the killing of Charlie Kirk and other violent incidents like the shooting at the ICE facility in Dallas, there has been a lot of talk about lowering the temperature of political debate. Many of the suggestions are vague and difficult to monitor. However, one practice that has become a political cottage industry can be stopped very simply. Let’s stop calling Trump, MAGA supporters and conservatives Nazis, fascists and even Hitler.

As we move into another school, I’d like to recognize Ryan Boyer, head of the 40,000-member Philadelphia Building Trades Union and, surprisingly, a supporter of school choice. I know this because Boyer was my first guest on my new Old School, New School, Next School podcast, which is dedicated to school choice and parental rights. Boyer told me that he would be a hypocrite if he opposed school choice because he sends his son to a private school on the Main Line.

I’m just back from broadcasting at the White House to mark the Trump administration’s First 100 Days. Dr. Marty Makary, the new head of the FDA, and Vani Hari, the Food Babe, were among our guests. They are important because, outside of issues like immigration, Americans are paying close attention to RFK Jr.’s push to make our food more healthful. Makary and Hari are key players for those plans.
