Gynura segetum, a traditional Chinese medicinal herb, has been increasingly recognized for its hepatotoxic potential due to its content of PAs. These compounds are among the most common causes of HILI in China and are strongly associated with HSOS. This review systematically explores the pathogenesis, diagnostic evolution, and therapeutic strategies of PAs-induced HSOS.
