An extended interval structure automated belief rule-based bearing fault diagnosis method for complex engineering systems
Abstract Reliable bearing fault diagnosis requires models that remain accurate under changing operating conditions while providing transparent diagnostic reasoning. Conventional belief rule base (BRB) methods are interpretable but suffer from rule-combination explosion, reliance on expert-defined rule bases, and inflexible inference procedures. This study proposes an extended interval structure automated belief rule base model (EIBRB-Auto).

Recent Advances in Photoinduced Iron Catalysis for Decarboxylative C–Heteroatom Bonds Formation
1 Introduction The construction of C–heteroatom bonds is a linchpin of organic synthesis, serving as the gateway to a vast spectrum of functional molecules that underpin advances in pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and materials science [1-7]. Fundamentally, these bonds also constitute essential structural motifs in organic molecules, enabling diverse and vital functions across disciplines such as biochemistry, energy and environmental research, synthetic methodology, and the life sciences.

Advocating Under Hierarchy: Comparing Climate Advocacy Coalitions in China’s Local Policy Processes
Abstract This study applies the Advocacy Coalition Framework to analyse how non-state actors advocated climate policy changes in China’s four early mover cities. Research institutes, international and domestic NGOs and government-funded think tanks shared similar concerns over climate change and interacted closely, constituting climate advocacy coalitions. They used local officials’ lack of climate knowledge to engage in local policy processes, which were dominated by status quo coalitions.
Assembly-induced nonuniform deformation prediction and control method for circular flange connectors with spacers in an optical lens support structure
Widely utilized in engineering, circular flange connections are typically secured by multiple bolts, but always result in nonuniform deformations that significantly impact the system shape and position accuracies. Numerous scholars have studied the deformation characteristics under various structures, external loads, bolt preloads, and tightening sequences in classical rough mechanical systems, but there is a lack of research regarding a high-precision optical system.

Mechanical method to reduce aberrations for a two-sided coating axisymmetric optical lens based on the specialized finite element method
Two-sided coated optical lenses are important in optical applications. A film-stress-induced aberration can adversely affect the lens performance. In this paper, a mechanical method has been developed to reduce this aberration. The proposed method uses a specialized finite element method with an easy modeling process and high versatility to analyze the impact of film parameters (including stress, the thickness, and the coating range) on aberrations under different lens geometric parameters.

Grassroots Solutions for Solid Waste in China’s Growing Cities
In June 2016, the government of the Chinese city of Xiantao cancelled an incineration project following protests by residents who felt they were not adequately consulted before the project was approved. As growing Chinese cities produce more construction and consumer waste, incineration projects have increased—along with widespread protests of their environmental and health consequences.
Visible light-Promoted Ring-Opening Functionalization of Unstrained Cycloalkanols via Inert C-C Bond Scission
Described herein is a novel, useful, visible light-promoted ring-opening functionalization of unstrained cycloalkanols. Upon scission of the inert cyclic C-C σ-bond, a set of medium- and large-sized rings are readily brominated under mild reaction conditions to afford the corresponding distal bromo-substituted alkyl ketones that are hard to make otherwise. The products are versatile building blocks, which are easily converted to other valuable molecules in one-step operation.
An upstream sequence modulates phenazine production at the level of transcription and translation in the biological control strain Pseudomonas chlororaphis 30-84
Phenazines are bacterial secondary metabolites and play important roles in the antagonistic activity of the biological control strain P. chlororaphis 30–84 against take-all disease of wheat. The expression of the P. chlororaphis 30–84 phenazine biosynthetic operon (phzXYFABCD) is dependent on the PhzR/PhzI quorum sensing system located immediately upstream of the biosynthetic operon as well as other regulatory systems including Gac/Rsm.
Tertiary Alcohol-directed Functionalization of Remote sp3 C-H Bond via Continuous Hydrogen and Heteroaryl Migration
AbstractHerein we report a tertiary alcohol-guided heteroarylation of sp3 C-H bond for the first time. The mild and direct generation of alkoxyl radicals from alcohols is enabled by visible-light photocatalysis. A cascade of remote hydrogen and heteroaryl migration are involved in the reaction. Many sensitive groups remain intact in the reaction, illustrating wide functional group compatibility. This protocol provides a practical strategy for the late-stage modification of alkyl ketones.
Distal Functional Group Migration for Visible-light Induced Carbo-difluoroalkylation/ monofluoroalkylation of Unactivated Alkenes
AbstractA general and practical protocol for elusive carbo-difluoroalkylation/ monofluoroalkylation of unactivated alkenes based on the distal functional group migration is described. A portfolio of functional groups including heteroaryl, imino, formyl, and alkynyl groups showcase the migratory aptitude. In combination with visible-light photocatalysis, a broad range of di- and mono-fluorinated alkyl ketones are readily obtained in synthetically useful yields under mild reaction conditions.
