Scene-level point cloud understanding remains challenging due to diverse geometries and spatial layouts. While pre-trained 3D point cloud foundation models (PFMs) offer strong transferability, full fine-tuning (FFT) incurs substantial computational and storage costs. Parameter-efficient fine-tuning (PEFT) provides a promising alternative, but existing PEFT methods largely focus on object-level point clouds and overlook serialization-induced partition variations in large-scale scenes.

Carbon dot-mediated NiO/NiS 2 heterostructure nanoreactor for efficient electrocatalytic urea oxidation-coupled hydrogen production

Electrochemical hydrogen production is significantly hindered by the sluggish oxygen evolution reaction (OER), while the thermodynamically more favorable urea oxidation reaction (UOR) offers a promising alternative for simultaneous energy saving and environmental remediation. Herein, we report a carbon dot-mediated interfacial engineering strategy to construct a NiO/NiS heterostructure nanoreactor on nickel foam (CDs-NiO/NiS @NF).

Topographic decoupling of tree-mortality disturbances drives contrasting soil carbon fates via divergent microbial strategies

Abstract Climate change is exacerbating tree mortality worldwide, threatening the stability of forest soil organic carbon (SOC) stocks. However, how SOC responds to tree mortality amid co-occurring disturbances remains mechanistically unresolved.
