Mar. 23—One of the big emphasis points for the Lewis-Clark State baseball team now and forever has been the way the players go on the attack offensively. The Warriors made that point loud and clear during Sunday's doubleheader sweep of Corban. LCSC pounded a total of eight home runs in the 18-14 and 14-5 sweep of the visiting Warriors at Harris Field. For the weekend, the locals swatted 13 home runs in total. Obviously, the goal never is to go deep but to put the ball in play.

Mar. 16—It doesn't happen often, if ever, that a college baseball team find itself in the situation that No. 3 Lewis-Clark State did this past weekend. The Warriors found themselves sitting on the sideline with an open date on the schedule. The team knew in advance about the possibility of having the open weekend, but it didn't stop fifth-year coach Jake Taylor from trying his best to find someone to come to the valley.

Mar. 2—Outside of its losses, the Lewis-Clark State baseball team cleared a pair of hurdles in its first major test of adversity at the friendly confines this past weekend. The second-ranked Warriors found themselves in a big hole in the second game of a doubleheader Saturday against College of Idaho, trailing 7-0 going to the bottom of the second. They responded with a 10-spot in the fourth and took care of business from there.
