By Drew Cooper, Youth Services Librarian The Chickasha Public Library’s 2025 Summer Reading program, “Color Our World,” is officially over. We had over 400 youth ages 0 to 17 registered and participating in our Summer Reading challenge, over 100 more than last year. That’s a lot of youth reading. Families traveled from 8 different counties to participate in our programs (Grady, Caddo, Stephens, Canadian, Garvin, McClain, Commanche and even Cleveland County).

Cardinal Baseball Third in GLIAC Preseason Poll

UNIVERSITY CENTER, Mich. – The Saginaw Valley State University baseball program placed third in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) preseason coaches' poll with 27 points and one first place vote. The Cardinals are coming off a historic season finishing 41-18 and 23-7 in the GLIAC. SVSU claimed the GLIAC regular season crown and earned the No. 1 seed in the NCAA Midwest Regional.
