As optimization problems in various disciplines become increasingly challenging, it becomes apparent that classical optimization methods suffer from limitations. These limitations include convergence to local optima, requirements of differentiability and continuity, and high computational burdens. Consequently, there is a growing need to develop more robust tools for optimal problem-solving.

Unlike heuristic algorithms, due to their problem-independent nature, these algorithms can be utilized to optimize a diverse range of problems. These methods are among the most important and promising research in the optimization domain.
