Yakubu intended to send the sum to another person as payment for a thrift contribution. She told FIJ on May 21 that she was to receive a text message from the thrift contribution contact on May 1, stating her bank details.

Published 5th Jul, 2026 By Edem Udofia Chukwuka Favor, co-founder of Earldc Lighting Concept, is yet to refund Benin resident Felix Batere his N380,000 after failing to deliver N1.37 million worth of goods in 2024. In April 2024, Batere paid Earldc Lighting Concept N1.37 million for electrical accessories. Batere got locked in talks with Chukwuka, and plans were in place to deliver the goods.

In line with the Lagos State government’s re-introduction of the monthly environmental sanitation in the state, Lagosians were once again mandated to clean their environment between 6:30 am and 8:30 am on Saturday.
