Posit Science donated Speed of Processing Training (SOPT) software for use in another study directed by authors GU and KB. This software was not used in this study. No restrictions on the publication or interpretation of the data from this or any other study were attached to the donation. KB serves on the Scientific Advisory Board of Posit Science, and has received travel support from Posit Science, and serves as a consultant for Posit Science.

At This Summer Camp, Struggling With A Disability Is The Point
A summer camp for children with disabilities in Nashville does things a little differently. Rather than accommodate the campers’ physical challenges, therapists make life a bit tougher, in hopes of ultimately strengthening the kids’ ability to navigate the world. Priceless Garinger’s left arm is wrapped from shoulder to fingertips in a neon-pink cast on the day I visit. The left one is the 12-year-old’s strong hand.

Comparison of reproducibility of single voxel spectroscopy and whole‐brain magnetic resonance spectroscopy imaging at 3T
To date, single voxel spectroscopy (SVS) is the most commonly used MRS technique. SVS is relatively easy to use and provides automated and immediate access to the resulting spectra. However, it is also limited in spatial coverage. A new and very promising MRS technique allows for whole‐brain MR spectroscopic imaging (WB‐MRSI) with much improved spatial resolution.

5 Hidden Causes of Stress at Home | Healthy Family Life
iris wright/ShutterstockWhat is stress? It's a lot of things, of course, but it seems just turning on the TV flips on the stress switch. When we seek news about what's happening in the economy, we get even more stressed because the news is often so bleak—job losses, industries in collapse, and even stress-related violence in our schools, homes, and workplaces. And it's no secret financial woes can also wreak havoc on your marriage, thus adding even more stress.
Assessing the Amount of Spontaneous Real-World Spoken Language in Aphasia: Validation of Two Methods
Purpose The purpose of this article is to present the results of a study evaluating the psychometric properties of 2 new measures that exclusively assess the amount of real-world spoken language in patients with aphasia. Method Forty individuals with aphasia were evaluated on several measures of spoken language in real-world settings.
