I'm a visual journalist -- that means most often, I am integrating drawings or animation into my stories. Whether it's in the form of a comic, an animation, a graphic recording (meaning a drawing of a conversation), or otherwise, I play in the space between reading and seeing.

No but I did once draw a convincing portrait of someone out of lobster bisque.

How is social media changing news?

Pro: citizen journalists can post to worldwide audience. Con: social media platforms incentivized to worsen polarization and rage. Worth it?

Who's your favorite fictional journalist?

Ford Prefect from the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Skimped on the research and thought that name would blend right in... bless!
