Pitt reprises the role of the eponymous stuntman, with the story set eight years after the events of the first film. Set in 1977, the film will follow Booth as a projectionist and fixer, using his unique skills to handle problems for Hollywood’s elite.

The Emmy Award winner has previously been the subject of MCU casting speculation, including reports linking him to Nova. As shared by @DiscussingFilm on X, the exclusive poster shows Skarsgård’s wicker-woven character dipping Olivia Colman in a romantic pose. The rom-com premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2026 and was received well.

The movie serves as a follow-up to Once Upon a Time in… Hollywood, written and directed by Tarantino. Tarantino writes and produces, which is set to release later this year. However, that won’t be Tarantino’s only OUATIH project in 2026. The Academy Award-winning filmmaker is writing a novel version of the upcoming spinoff movie, according to Variety. The book is titled.
