Interview

Have you ever used a typewriter?

Yes. In fact, I just had my dad's refurbished at a local typewriter hospital! I'm having a blast playing with it.

How is social media changing news?

Sometimes I miss receiving my news alert push notifications via the morning newspaper.

How do you prefer to be pitched on stories?

I prefer to receive pitches via email. (I am terribly inconsistent in checking messaging on SM.)

Did you work for your high school newspaper? If so, what did you do there?

Of course! I had a comic and covered the arts and entertainment beat.

What story are you most proud of writing or working on?

I am incredibly proud of my pro-choice op-ed for The Washington Post.

When you're not at a computer, where are you most likely to be?

Outside with a sketchbook.

If I read one thing a day, it's Heather Cox Richardson's newsletter.
