Barneombudet uttalte under høringen om barneloven i Stortinget 5. mai at barneloven ikke bør gi gifte og samboende «delt daglig myndighet» ved samlivsbrudd. Foreningen 2 Foreldre (F2F) stiller seg spørrende til hennes innbitte motstand mot likeverdig foreldreskap. FHIs rapport «Foreldre i konflikt og familier i endring» viser at 60 prosent av de spurte barna mellom 7 og 16 år ønsket å bo like mye hos begge foreldre. Kun 14 prosent ønsket ikke å bo like mye hos begge.
