Abstract Background Guidelines recommend treatment with direct acting antivirals for a minimum duration of eight weeks in all patients with hepatitis C virus. Minimizing treatment duration is desirable due to decreased cost and increased adherence. Studies with treatment durations of less than eight weeks have conflicting data.

Before we destroy the careers and reputations of elected officials in the city of Frederick, I’d like to bring some attention to the public document from KrugerLaw, LLC, which conducted the investigation into the misconduct accusations against Alderman Roger Wilson. Did tax dollars pay for this investigation? Because there were some glaring errors in that document that make me question the competency of the entire assessment and I would request my money back.

Abstract Objective The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently approved lofexidine, an alpha-2-adrenergic agonist, as the first non-opioid medication for mitigation of opioid withdrawal symptoms. Clonidine, an alpha-2-adrenergic agonist, historically was used off-label for this indication.

Personalized care provided by a single doctor from the office to the specialist or hospital and back again is hard to find in our area these days! There are a few primary care doctors still practicing in a traditional fashion and Dr. Gerald Simon, geriatric and internal medicine specialist, is one of them.
