Cyclist struck and killed by truck in Iuka

IUKA, Miss (WTVA) -- An Iuka man died Tuesday afternoon after he was hit by a truck. Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon says it happened Tuesday, March 24, 2026, around 4:20 p.m. He says the bicyclist was bit by a pickup truck as he tried to turn onto a county road from another county road near the Iuka airport. 2 from West Point killed in Monroe County wreck

PRAIRIE, Miss. (WTVA) - Two people died in a Monroe County wreck on Monday evening. Monroe County Coroner Alan Gurley identified the victims as Alyson Parker, 33, and Evan Bailey, 34, both of West Point. The wreck happened shortly before 6:50 on Evans Road, just west of Highway 45 Alternate. Their vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree, and they died at the scene of the crash.
